- Inform the Academy with any concerns about my child’s safety/ welfare.
- Help to keep my child safe online and when using technology.
- Ensure my child behaves safely and appropriately online following the acceptable use agreement.

- Support the academy’s mission, vision, and values.
- Make sure my/our child attends school well (96% is the expectation). Inform The Academy promptly if there are problems with attendance.
- Make sure my/our child attends in the correct uniform, wearing it correctly. Inform the Academy if there are problems with uniform as we are keen to help.
- Make sure that my/our child is not absent from Academy term time unless it is through illness, emergency or unavoidable.
- Ensure my/our child is punctual at the start of the Academy Day and for lessons and is properly equipped for learning.
- Support the Academy’s policies and guidelines as outlined on the website.
- Support the behaviour policy of the Academy.

- Communication
- Ensure all communications with staff (including e-mail) are respectful.
- Ensure any use of social media shows due respect for the Academy.
Consent
- Complete and update the annual consent form to authorise/disallow the Academy to use relevant data.
- Allow my/our child to attend off-site visits as appropriate.
- Agree to the biometrics policy of the Academy to allow effective provision of food and drinks or make alternate arrangements.
Engagement
- Attend achievement evenings and events about my/our child’s progress.
- Attend any other meetings requested by the Academy when convenient.
- Advise the academy if I/we cannot attend an arranged meeting.
- Encourage my/our child to work hard with a positive attitude to learning.
- Encourage my/our child to participate in the enrichment opportunities.
- Ensure our SQUID account has funds to cover my/our child’s dietary needs and the cost of any visits/trips.Community
Ensure my child is an ambassador for The Academy by ensuring their conduct in the community is respectful.
Ensure my child is safe if they choose to cycle to the Academy, ensuring their cycle is roadworthy and that they ride in line with the highway code. (Use of lights and a cycle helmet is required from September 2025)

- Attend the Academy regularly (aiming for 96% ) in correct uniform, worn properly and not wear items that are disallowed e.g. hoodies

Communication
- Ensure all communications to staff are appropriate and use Academy email or other approved application.
- Ensure my mobile device is switched off and placed in my bag/pocket before entry to site, and that my device is not seen, heard, or known to be used AT ALL in the day. I will only use it again on departure from my lesson at the end of the day, when outside. Learning

- Ensure I am properly equipped for all Academy activities.
- Check my timetable daily, ensure any home learning is completed.

- Engage in the academy rewards and record achievements.
- Take part in extra-curricular/enrichment activities offered.
- Understand that any poor conduct whilst wearing Academy uniform, in the community can be dealt with by the academy.
- Attend detentions/corrections if required to do so.
- Follow all Academy norms and routines.
Community
- Care for the environment–in and out of school. Place litter in bins
- Take care of academy resources, equipment, facilities, and site
- Travel to/from the Academy safely, and responsibly
- If choosing to cycle to the academy- cycle safely and with respect for other road users/pedestrians. Ensure my bike is roadworthy and I can be seen easily (lights). Wear a helmet (recommended)
